ENEWS March 2016

On Saturday March 5th FVJN Board of Directors hosted a Thank You Dinner for the Many Volunteers and Donors from the past year!  This dinner was a huge success and fun was had by all!  FVJN Board of Directors wants to sincerely extend their gratitude to all those who could not attend!  Without YOU we would not be as successful as we are!  Thank you all once again!!!

 

Mural News:

Our Tile work is complete!  Plans to install the Mural is tentatively set for late April or Early May, we are waiting for our weather to be consistently warm!  There will be tasks that we will need volunteers for, so watch for announcements!

Upcoming Events:

Shabbat Evening Potluck Friday March 11, 2016 @ 6:30 PM. Please RSVP to gail@fvjn.org (tentative on attendance, if we do not have attendees we will not hold this event!) We will notify if this is cancelled.

Book Group:
Join Us on April 12, 2016 @ 7:00 PM when we start our newest book, A Remarkable Kindness: A Novel by Diana Bletter.   Book Club meets every other month at FVJN on Tuesday’s to discuss our reading’s.  We do have a copy of each book in our library!

** This Month’s Book Club will meet at a special location: The author will Skype with the group from Israel,**

**We will be meeting in the private room at Graham’s 318 in Geneva at 7pm on Tuesday, April 12th, all are welcome, even if you have not read the book.**

 

School News Updates:

Fox Valley Jewish School, extends generous thank you to Pushing the Envelope Farm for hosting a great field trip last month.  The students began spring planting, learned about soil conservation and beekeeping, and made their own pita bread.  The field trip ties in with our lessons on caring for the earth and feeding the poor.  The students are looking forward to Purim and Passover activities.
